Introduction. Urinary incontinence (UI) is one of the main long-term complications following prostate surgery, whether for cancer-related or benign conditions. According to the literature, UI occurs in 1-10% of cases, though some studies report rates as high as 50%. One of the surgical option for UI is the placement of a male sling. Despite the low level of evidence attributed to this method, interest in and the desire to utilize a less invasive procedure (compared to an artificial urinary sphincter) have persisted for decades.

Aim: Optimization of algorithm of diagnostic of urogenital and intestine-vaginal fistulas

Introduction. Prostate cancer(PC)is among the most frequent malignant neoplasms. Radical prostatectomy (RP) is a popular method for treating patients with localized prostate cancer. Urinary incontinence is the most common complication after RP, aswell as erectile dysfunction,which substantially decreases patients’ quality of life

Due to implementation of minimally invasive techologies (laparoscopic surgery, Da vinci roobot) over the last 10 years, there are several publications for the nuances and effectiveness of extraperitoneoscopic adenomectomy (EA) in patients with large volume (>80 cm3) benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). e analysis of scientific literature showed that EA becomes more entrenched among urologists, however, resulting from lack of data for long-term treatment outcomes and a retrospective format of studies, this surgery is still being investigated (level of evidence 2).

Male urinary incontinence is a serious complication of the pelvic surgery. A modern approach is a male sling placement for continence restoration. Our study included 39 patients, which were operated in years 2009-2011 in the Scientific Institute of Urology due to urinary incontinence. Mean age of the patients was 64 years (range 51-81).

Stress urinary incontinence in women is one of the actual urogynecological problems, which negatively influences the life quality, professional and personal activity and makes the women social vulnerable. Minimal invasive free-implanted synthetic meshes (predominately, polypropylene) are preferred to the bucket of the other used methods and considered as a “gold standard” in the treatment of this disease.

Objective: to estimate long-term results of surgical sling treatment of stress urinary incontinence in Russia.

Materials and methods: From 2001 to 2011 years 4867 patients were operated in 40 major urological and gynecological centers. Operation TVT was performed in 12,8% cases, TVT-O - in 80% cases.

Due to new technological achievements and clinical studies treatment of male stress incontinence (SI) constantly improves. Nevertheless optimal level of safety and efficacy is still not gained. Search for the alternative option for artificial sphincter, which is used for 40 years, is not finished. Attempts to develop a device both safe and efficient for patients with different grades of SI, low possible complication rates and possibility to adjust tension rate according to individual particularities are still continued.

In past radical nephrectomy was a method of choice in treatment of renal tumors, but recent successes clearly demonstrated advantages of renal-preserving surgical tactics in cases of tumor small size. Partial nephrectomy in patients with renal tumors, both open and laparoscopic, received wide recognition as an alternative to radical nephrectomy. In case of expansion of indications for partial nephrectomy secure methods of tumor resection and prevention of postoperative complications should be developed.
