According to the literature benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) frequently serves the cause of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). In most patients, conservative therapy provides a good quality of life. In some patients progressing symptoms that require surgical treatment. Transurethral resection (TUR) is most commonly used in the treatment of BPH. However, according to studies the frequency of long-term persistence of LUTS after TUR may be more than 30%.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of different approaches to metaphylaxis of uric acid urolithiasis.

Thirty-four patients with the urate urolithiasis were on the follow-up during 3-6 years: 16 women and 18 men, with age range 31-66 years. In 31 case urolithiasis was recurrent. Three patients were diagnosed with the diabetes mellitus. Function of the kidneys and liver was normal according to the biochemical investigations.

We conducted a study to justify a rationale for the choice of optimum solutions for telemedical consultation in urology the instrument of choice is a web-based platform and mobile application NetHealth.ru. The solution was developed in 2012 for the Institute of Urology; its distinguishing feature is the presence of two options medical distant consilia and patient-centered distant consultations.

We review the mobile health platforms in this article (mHealth), clarify this term and describe some practical examples of use.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the knowledge of the physicians from different specialties (urologists, gynecologists, internists, phthisiatricians) in the urogenital tuberculosis. The testing was carried out among the specialists attending the professional education courses in the tuberculosis clinic of NGMU (261 physician) and also among the specialists distantly at the uroweb.ru portal using a specially developed software (14 physicians).

We have examined 2 group of patients, overall 137 patients, with the age range 21-74 years, 76 female and 61 male patients. Urate stones were present in 49 patients, calcium oxalate (CaOx) and mixed with prevalence of CaOx in 88 patients. Recurrent urolithiasis was diagnosed in 135 patients. Long-term surveillance (2-15 years) was the case in 93 patients. The following investigations were carried out in patients: anamnesis, urinalysis, serum and urine biochemical panel (14 parameters), analysis of the stone composition.

We have carried out the retrospective analysis of 1355 medical records of the patients with urolithiasis referred to the ambulance of National Scientific Institute of Urology in a period of 1 year. Chi-square statistical test was used for analysis of data. The most visited months of the year were April and November (spring-autumn period). The minimal and maximal age of the patients (based on the analysis of 923 patients) was 8 months and 83 years. Female patients were dominating among adult patients.
