Introduction. the issue of choosing a proper method of treatment and diagnosticsfor chronic abacterial prostatitis/ chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) is a topic for extensive scientific discussion. Etiology of this condition isinsufficiently studied, and guidelines on itstreatment are controversial. Moreover, patients with CPPS and their partners experience negative impact of pain on sexual and interpersonal relations, sexual activity, satisfaction and quality of life.

Urolithiasis is one of the most common urological diseases. Urolithiasisis a polyetetic disease (congenital and acquired nature)with complex physico-chemical processes occurring not only in the urinary system, but also in the whole body. Issues of etiology and pathogenesis of stone formation not fully explored despite clear success in the study of urolithiasis.

Purpose of the study: To improve the results of treatment of patients with localized prostate cancer using the 125I brachytherapy by means of individual prediction of relapse-free survival of patients after implantation.

Materials and methods. The study included 123 patients with low and intermediate risk clinically localized prostate cancer who were implanted with 125I radioactive micro sources in the period from 2000 to 2013. The main evaluation criterion was 5-year biochemical disease free survival bDFS.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common disease among older men, which has a strong effect on their quality of life causing lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). Recently, special attention has been paid to the pathogenetic role of chronic inflammation in the pathogenesis of BPH. In connection with this, researchers continue the search for drugs with anti-inflammatory action and suitable for long-term use.

Introduction. Research Institute of Urology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, directed by Acad. of RAMS, Professor Lopatkin N.A., placed a greater focus on the epidemiology of urological diseases, including urolithiasis, in the USSR and the Russian Federation. Currently, the Institute is monitoring urological morbidity, disability and mortality.

The pathogenesis of urolithiasis, as well as atherosclerosis, is not fully understood. According to hypothesis, the start point of lithogenesis or atherogenesis is endothelial wall damage. It is possible that free radical oxidation is part of the pathogenesis of both diseases. In addition, the results of a large number research works, assert that urolithiasis patients are more likely to get sick atherosclerosis.

Introduction. Human health is a clearly crucial factor defining the level of socio-economic development of the nation, its safety and quality of life. Personalization of treatment and diagnostics, which also implies patient’s involvement, is a key demand for a new system of healthcare, which is currently being developed in the world.

Aim of the study. To provide the rationale for a model of a patient-centered system of urological health care based on eHealth technologies.

Introduction. In Russia, until now, methodologically correctly organized population studies of LUTS have not been conducted. In this regard, from 2013 to 2016. Research Institute of Urology and Interventional Radiology. N.A Lopatkin conducted a population-based study of the prevalence of LUTS in men in the Bobrovsky district of the Voronezh region, with an assessment of the depenence of symptoms on age and a number of other anthropometric indicators.

Introduction. Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death worldwide. According to literature, CVDs have a very similar profile of risk factors with such a common reproductive disorder as erectile dysfunction (ED). At the same time, there are different opinions about the prevalence of ED and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in the Russian population and their relationship to physical illnesses

Materials and methods. We present data from evaluation of 1261 men aged 40-65 years living in the Voronezh and Kaluga regions.

The influence of botulinum toxin A type 1 (BTA) dose on the efficacy of therapy in patients with neurogenic and idiopathic detrusor overactivity was studied and the incidence of urinary difficulties in the early period after botulinum therapy was studied. It was found that BTA-therapy in all patients led to a significant improvement in the state of urination, a decrease the frequency of urination, episodes of urinary incontinence, and improve all parameters of a complex urodynamic study.
