Introduction: Urethral stricture is one of the most difficult problems of urological reconstruction surgery.

Materials and methods. The widespread use of minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques leads to an increase in the length and degree of spongiofibrosis, which in the future can negatively affect the result of primary urethroplasty and the quality of life. Buccal graft is the most common and preferred plastic material in the treatment of strictures of the penile and bulbous urethra in men.

We have studied the autofluorescence and induced fluorescence in renal tumors and healthy renal tissues in 90 patients with renal cell carcinoma from the National Scientific Institute of Urology in the period from January 2012 up to June 2013. “Alasens” (5-aminolevulenic acid hydrochloryde) was shown to be selectively accumulated in the tumor cells, to transform into protoporphyrine IX and to fluoresce against the blue light.

The Federal State Organization Research Institute of Urology in 115 patients with bilateral staghorn nephrolithiasis in the period from 2009 to 2011 compared three methods of surgical treatment: percutaneous nephrolitholapaxy, combined treatment ( percutaneous nephrolitholapaxy and SWL ) and open surgery – efficacy stone removal, the rate of complications and length of hospitalization. Before surgery all patients underwent a standard examination and performed the above methods of surgical intervention.

This article is devoted to the description of the method of extracorporeal indirect electrochemical oxidation (EIEBO) in patients with infectious inflammatory complications and grade I endotoxicosis. The distinguishing feature of the EIEBO from the adopted intracorporeal method of oxidation is that blood is being processed using 0.06% solution of the sodium hypochlorite (SH) within the venous extracorporeal line, created using special equipment.

The main criteria for the efficacy estimation of the organ-preservation surgery in patients with kidney cancer (KC) is the incidence of local recurrences and survival outcomes. The main cause of the local recurrence is non-radical manner of excision and multifocal tumor growth. Our study included 56 patients with KC which were treated operatively: 20 (35.7%) patients with open partial nephrectomy, 36 (64.2%) patients with laparoscopic partial nephrectomy. As photosensibilizer ‘Alasens’ (Russia) was used (5- aminolevulenic acid).

This article is devoted to the prognostic method, which can show, whether if the urological infection will have a lethal or favorable outcome.

According to the recommendations of the European and American urological associations percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PCNL) stands ahead of the other operative modalities in treatment of the patients with large and staghorn stones with the efficacy of approximately 80%. Aim of the current investigation was to estimate the influence of the body mass index (BMI) on the efficacy of the PCNL and on the frequency of the complications during the retrospective analysis of our surgical data.

In this study we have investigated the influence of sodium hypochlorite (SH) on the blood leukocytes in rats (experimental part) and the possible applications of SH in patients with acute pyelonephritis. Experimental part was performed on 35 white inbreed male rats. Clinical part included 2 groups of patients from urological clinic.

Introduction: Watertightness of UVA is still most challenging stage of LRP. Fail to provide full watertightness may provide urinary leakage, prolonged urethral catheterization, long hospitalization and result in incontinence and/or stricture of UVA. Usually lapsurgeons use one of techniques: interrupted or continuous.

Purpose: Our purpose was to evaluate benefits of new technique of UVA perfomance

Current trend in the treatment of patients with nephrolithiasis is decreasing of the invasiveness of the surgery. Recent technical innovations for effective stone disintegration, permanent kidney access, good visualization of endoscopy and decrease in the instruments size raised the urological interest in efficacy and improvements in the area of retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) for large and staghorn urinary stones. It is typical for RIRS to have high efficacy (50-94.6%) and low rate of perioperative complications.
