Metabolic syndrome, androgen deficiency and stress: estimation of the influence on the development of chronic kidney and hepatic disease in male white rats
In chronic experiments with 30 male white inbreed rats we have investigated the influence of high-calorie diet (addition of 20% margarine to the formula feed and 20% fructose to the water), androgen deficiency (bilateral orchiectomy) and stress (due to immobilisation) and their combination on the biochemical markers of kidneys and liver function.
