In experiment on 20 rats we studied the effect of a 4-hour acute urinary retention (AUR) on the functional state of the bladder and the change in activity of some enzymes (AST and ALT transaminases, lactate dehydrogenase - LDH, alkaline phosphatase - ALP, y-glutamyltranspeptidase-GGTP, N-acetyl -p-glycosidase - NAG and cholinesterase - CE) in the urine and the bladder wall, comparing them with the changes after 2-hour total ischemia of the bladder caused by pelvic clamping of the aorta.

The stone disease is one of most widespread urology disease in the world and Russia. The recurrence rate is high despite the new noninvasive methods of diagnosis and treatment. Phytotherapy, containing essential oils and terpens, is widely used in patients with stone disease. Rowatinex is based on the terpens combination.

The research was done in State Research Institute of Urology during 2,5 months named: “ Results of the Rowatinex usage in patients with renal stone disease”.

Using of magnesium medications in anti-relapse treatment of calcium urolithiasis is still in the center of urologists’ debates.

Recurrent calcium urolithiasis is often characterised by hyper excretion of magnesium in urine, which however is not a protective feature referring to calculi relapse, as far as in these patients have more severe recurrence clinical manifestation.

Chemical compound of 4217 calculi was analyzed. All calculi were removed surgically, fragmented by extracorporal shock-wave lithotripsy or came out by themselves in patients with urolithiasis managed in Scientific Research Institute of Urology, Russian Healthcare Department in a period of 2005 2009 (males and females age ranged 16 77). The comparative analysis of foregoing decade (1990-2000) data on calculi chemical compound was made. It was shown that oxalate lithiasis remains predominant mineralogical type in Moscow region in a period of 2005-2009.

Chronic pyelonephritis is one of the most common diseases complicating numerous urologic pathologies or occurring as an independent pathology. Chronic pyelonephritis due to insufficient and often non-effective management might cause renal failure, even after risk factors removal. New approaches in chronic pyelonephritis management required. According to publications bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cells can improve chronic inflammation because of cytokine complexes secretion.

Introduction. Urolithiasis incidence varies greatly in different countries (1-5% in Asia, 5-9% in Europe, 13% in Nothern America, up to 20% in Saudi Arabia). In rat model perspective of two novel trends of preventing and treatment of acute post-ischemic renal failure (ARF) was investigated, in particular application of two drugs referred to novel class of antioxidants, which are selectively accumulated in mitochondria of renal tubular epithelium, which conditionally denoted as SkQ1 and SkQR, as well as administration of cultured human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSC) and cultured fetal renal cells (CRC).
