Peculiarities of infravesical obstructions caused by surgery of benign prostatic hyperplasia and their treatment in a single center

7967

Introduction. The standard surgical approach to the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) or open prostatectomy. In some cases, surgical treatment of BPH is accompanied by the development of postoperative complications leading to recurrence of the infravesical obstruction, such as urethral stricture (US) and bladder neck contracture (BNC). Aim. To investigate the features of late obstructive complications after the open prostatectomy and TURP, their surgical correction and the effectiveness of treatment.

Our experience in application of hexane extract of Serenoa Repens (Permixon) extract in case of chronic prostatitis

8866

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common disease among older men, which has a strong effect on their quality of life causing lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). Recently, special attention has been paid to the pathogenetic role of chronic inflammation in the pathogenesis of BPH. In connection with this, researchers continue the search for drugs with anti-inflammatory action and suitable for long-term use.

Clinical and morphological parallels in chronic bacterial prostatitis

6796

Introduction. All categories of chronic prostatitis have the same clinical picture, where pain is the main symptom. It is still believed that painful symptoms of chronic prostatitis are due to the prostate inflammation, but the lack of clinical effect of anti-inflammatory treatment leaves in serious doubt about the involvement of prostate inflammation in the algogenesia.

Pathozoospermia risk assessment at men in measurement of endocrine disruptors – bisphenol A and triclosan in semen by gas chromatography/ mass spectrometry

6366

The point of cut-off of a semen triсlosan and bisphenol A is 0,150 and 0,103 of ng/ml respectively is established to predict the risk of a patozoospermia. The received cut-off point for triсlosan and bisphenol A on human semen can be used in clinical practice to predict the risk of a patozoospermia and to start the treatment and preventive measures directed to decrease of concentration of these EDs in semen.
