Introduction. Many technical approaches are now widely used for surgical correction of hypospadias. The outcome measures are still not standardized. We investigate uroflowmetry as a method for efficacy control after surgical treatment. 

Calyceal diverticulum of the kidney diagnosed in children are extremely rare. This pathology can mimic other cystic renal lesion (simple, multiple cysts, polycystic et al.). In this connection, the correct diagnosis is difficult to establish. Handshaking in the study between the cystic cavity and pyelocalyceal system is the key for the diagnosis of calyceal diverticulum. In this report we present a case of treatment of calyceal diverticulum in a child with an initial diagnosis of a ultrasound of simple renal cysts.

Introduction. Minimally invasive surgery is being widely implemented in the pediatric practices. The aim of our study was to evaluate the potential of the laparoscopic pyeloplasty in children.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of single port and single troakar retroperitoneoscopic approaches in the treatment of simple (solitary) renal cysts in children. The comparative characteristic of simple renal cysts fenestration between single port and single troakar retroperitoneoscopic accesses. Following the procedure of a single access retroperitoneoscopic 7 children were treated and the procedure single troakar – 8.

One of the perspective methods of the treatment in patients with neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD) is biofeedback therapy combined with electrostimulation of the pelvic floor muscles. The advantages of this treatment are noninvasive nature, treatment in the form of playing, rising the commitment of the children, special facilities to demonstrate the achieved results to the patients, easy change of therapeutic strategies and introduction in the treatment for patients, absence of absolute contraindications.

Introduction. We have completed the comparison of the outcomes of surgical treatment in patients with hypospadias with the use of the specified digital questionnaire.

Nocturnal polyuria, nocturnal detrusor overactivity and high arousal thresholds are central in the pathogenesis of enuresis. An underlying mechanism on the brainstem level is probably common to these mechanisms. Enuretic children have an increased risk for psychosocial comorbidity. The primary evaluation of the enuretic child is usually with no radiology or invasive procedures required.

Surgery for distal forms of hypospadias in children achieved significant results. High esthetic demand for surgical correction is the reason for increased use of preputioplasty by child surgeons. This study is devoted to the complications of preputioplasty and their surgical correction and also to the systematic analysis of the possible causes for the complications.

Proximal hypospadias could be treated using both one and multiple steps procedure. One hundred and twenty five boys with proximal hypospadias (age from 6 months to 17 years) were operated in the period from 2008 to 2012. Mean age was 2.2 years. This group contained 41 patients with proximal trunk hypospadias, 35 – with penile-scrotal, 36 – with scrotal and 13 with perineal forms. Among the patients 94 were primary patients (75.2%) and 31 were operated earlier (24.8%). All patients were divided in two groups.

Objective: To evaluate the long-term efficacy of Vantris in complex cases in children with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR).
