Introduction. Inflammation of the male accessory glands, particularly chronic prostatitis including the asymptomatic form (NIH category IV), is a common cause of oxidative stress. In such patients, bacteriospermia, leukocytospermia, and increased oxidative stress may be detected, which can potentially impair sperm function and reproductive outcomes. Antioxidant therapy is one of the key approaches in the management of male infertility, especially in the presence of oxidative stress.

Introduction. Excessive overheating of the testicles, caused by various factors including pathologies, is one of the reasons for the decline in male fertility. In patients with some forms of male infertility an increase in testicular mast cells has been observed, suggesting a link between these cells and fertility issues. This raises the possibility of correcting spermatogenesis disorders by modulating mast cells activity.

Introduction. This article is dedicated to the clinico-pathogenetic aspects of antioxidant therapy in the correction of age-related bladder dysfunction. Introduction. Postcoital cystitis, which has a chronic form, can be attributed to a type of chronic cystitis in women. In the absence of positive dynamics from behavioral therapy, herbal and antimicrobial drugs used before or after sexual intercourse to prevent exacerbation of postcoital cystitis, the priority is the use of complexes of substances that strengthen the immune system, improve the condition of the bladder mucosa and have an antimicrobial effect.

Introduction. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) are common conditions in elderly men that significantly affect quality of life. Despite the high prevalence of both pathologies, the relationship between them remains insufficiently understood. The traditional indicator – post-void residual volume (PVR) – is characterized by high variability and limited prognostic value.

Introduction. Aging is a complex biological phenomenon that encompasses all organs and systems of the human body, including the urinary system. The theory of inflammatory aging suggests that the senescence process is accompanied by the formation of chronic inflammation, activation of oxidative stress and the production of inflammatory or profibrotic cytokines, which ultimately leads to fibrotic tissue transformation and the development of functional organ deficiency and, in particular, plays a key role in age-associated bladder restructuring.

Introduction. One of the main methods of surgical treatment of premature ejaculation is a selective dorsal neurotomy, based on decreasing penile sensitivity by selective resection of its sensory nerves. This surgical procedure is a quite effective, but invasive and has a long recovery time. Nowadays we know is a less invasive procedure, named selective minimally invasive cryoablation of penile sensory nerves. The essence of the method is cooling the nerves to a temperature of minus 78°С with thin needle-like cryoprobe, which is inserted through the skin.

Introduction. Radiation injury of the bladder is a complication after therapeutic irradiation of the pelvic organs. The strategy of pharmacotherapy of such complications is currently unclear due to the small number of studies and unclear pathogenesis.

Purpose of the study – to study the effectiveness of the use of bovine bladder polypeptides in modeling radiation injury of the bladder in rats.
