Introduction. The «gold standard» in the complex surgical treatment of muscle-invasive bladder cancer (BC) is radical cystectomy (RCE), however, early postoperative complications after it reach 70%. In this regard, the use of the protocol for accelerated recovery of patients after surgery (ERAS) in case of RCE is highly relevant from a practical and scientific point of view.The goal of the study was to compare outcomes obtained with the ERAS (enhanced recovery after surgery) protocol in patients undergoing radical cystectomy.

Introduction. Prostate cancer screening remains a controversial subject and a subject of wide discussion, as it has not only potential benefits, but also negative consequences.

Materials and methods. A review of the literature showed that screening for prostate cancer using a prostate specific antigen (PSA) test reduces overall mortality from this disease. The key to deciding on screening for prostate cancer is the need to discuss between the doctor and the patient all the positive and negative aspects of screening.

Introduction. Bladdercancer (BC) represents one of the most frequent disease in the structure of morbidity and mortality among malignant neoplasms in human. At the moment, there is a large amount of experimental data about the molecular genetic alterations those occurring in carcinogenesis of BC, but only a few of them are considered as potential predictors of the response to therapy, suitable for using in clinical practice. Many studies underlying BC is a genetically heterogeneous disease.

Introduction. Prostate cancer is one of the most common oncological diseases in men in modern society. The relevance and social significance of this problem with the rapid pace of development of high technologies in radiation diagnostics have led to the fact that in the last 10 years, many works have appeared on the visualisation of the periprostatic nervous plexus using MR-tractography.

The objective of this work was assessment of the role of MR-tractography in oncourological clinical practice.

Objective: Due to the increase in the number of patients suffering from chronic kidney diseases who need renal replacement therapy (RRT), as well as those on the waiting list for kidney transplantation, the relevance of common recommendations development for nephron-sparing treatment is beyond doubt.

Introduction. Prostate cancer is one of the most common oncological conditions in men in modern society. Despite the high risk of urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction, radical prostatectomy remains a surgical technique of choice for most urologists to treat all localized cases of prostate cancer without metastases. Using modern nerve-sparing surgical technique is no guarantee that nerve fibers remain intact and, consequently, that complications won’t occur.

Introduction: Radical prostatectomy and brachytherapy with sources of different powers are included in the standard guidelines for the treatment of patients with localized prostate cancer (LPC). Due to the improvement of early diagnosis, LPC is increasingly diagnosed in young patients, for whom preservation of erectile function (EF) is an important criterion of quality of life and satisfaction with the results of prostate cancer treatment.
