Introdaction and objectives: The aim of the survey was to obtain information on treatment of patients admitted to Moscow urology departments with renal colic.

Introduction. Today, the problem of screening for prostate cancer is not completely solved. Scientific experiments have not allowed to formulate a general concept due to the fact that the screening procedure is accompanied with such factors as hyperdiagnostics, hypertreatment and high economic losses.

Introduction. The development of information technology in the Russian Federation and around the globe has led to the application of hitech methods of treatment. Those methods of preventive healthcarewhich have proven to be effective in reducing morbidity and mortality, have already become a thing of the past. The methods of preventive healthcare and early diagnosis of urologic diseases based on active interaction with prospective patients are being developed in N. Lopatkin Scientific Research Institute of Urology and Interventional Radiology.

A comparative retrospective analysis of urologic and oncourologic morbidity over the period of 2002-2014 was performed according to the official medical statistics in order to obtain objective information about the state of urologic medical service in the Russian Federation and its regions. ?e incidence of urogenital diseases, malignant neoplasms of the urinary bladder, prostate and kidneys over the period of 2002-2014, and also death rates in Russian population linked to urogenital and oncourologic diseases was investigated.

INTRODACTION AND OBJECTIVES: The aim of the survey was to gain information on current acute urinary retention (AUR) treatment in Moscow urology departments. 

METHODS: A survey was sent to 21 urologic departments within Moscow. The questionnaire contained questions on the medical, technical and organizational aspects of AUR. 

We have studied the main demographic indices – the population, birth rate, death rate, infantile and maternal mortality, the indices of the reproductive health of the population for 25-year period.

We conducted a study to justify a rationale for the choice of optimum solutions for telemedical consultation in urology the instrument of choice is a web-based platform and mobile application NetHealth.ru. The solution was developed in 2012 for the Institute of Urology; its distinguishing feature is the presence of two options medical distant consilia and patient-centered distant consultations.

Economical efficacy of the prostate cancer screening in the Russian Federation was estimated using the modeling of three healthcare systems based on the official statistical data and the modern evidence from the major publications.

The analysis of the new format of the urological service in Voronezh region is presented in this article. The problems in the realization of the regional target program “Urology” (part of the program “Healthcare development in the Voronezh district 2011-2015”) are referred. The possible ways of further optimization of urological service are listed, given the revealed shortages.
