Remote monitoring has great opportunities for clinicians in the rehabilitation of patients and the prevention of complications in the late postoperative period. In urological practice remote monitoring of urine status can be considered as one of the most important.

This publication is dedicated to remote monitoring of 1.5 years old patient with congenital malformations of the genitourinary system, left multicystic dysplastic kidney, 2nd - 3rd degree vesicoureteral reflux in a single functioning right kidney, chronic pyelonephritis, latent course.

Telemedicine consultation is an effective instrument of modern urology, providing evidence-based support of clinical decision making, optimal resource management, equality in the availability and timeliness of specialized medical care. 

Objective: to prove the feasibility of using video conferencing (as an additional web-based platform) by analyzing the methods of application of this instrument in urology and nephrology. 

XXI century without exaggeration to be called the century of information. During the last three years there has been a technological breakthrough, manifested by advent of new equipment and improvement of communication channels.

Introduction. Monthly nearly 1 000 000 users of Russian part of Internet (Runet) request for information about urological health problems. In given research we tried to evaluate information sources available for Runet users searching for urological health problems management. Materials and Methods. 47 russian language internet sites dedicated to urological health problem discussions were analyzed. The earliest discussion thread was dated by March 3, 2000, the latest site began its work on November 24, 2008.

In the process of the trial an attempt was made to evaluate approximate people audience, that try to fi nd solution of problems associated with urological health by using internet technologies.
