Recently minimally invasive methods of prostate cancer treatment has been widely distributed, they were developed to minimize surgical intervention using organ-preserving technique but without oncologic compromise: brachytherapy, HIFU therapy, radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation. An ultralow temperature is already used in the treatment of oncological diseases more than 150 years, at the period great technological advance occurs.

Urethrosuspension that appeared slightly more than ten years ago becomes “gold standard” for stress urinary incontinence treatment in women. The procedure has displaced a numerous surgical treatment methods for the disease out of clinical practice. Low operative trauma, relatively simple urethrosuspension performing and high efficacy underlie its wide application.

A study on the effectiveness and safety of two dosing regimens of the drug Cernilton® in patients with chronic nonbacterial prostatitis was performed. The patients were randomized into two groups.

Overactive bladder (OAB) prevalence is a quite high and is 16-22% among adults. The author presented results of the clinical study on efficacy and safety of alpha1-adrenoreceptor antagonist Tulosin (produced by «Egis») as a single agent therapy in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The research team included 30 patients aged 50 to 82 years. Inclusion criteria – patients with BPH, expressiveness symptoms on a scale International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) more 9 points, the volume of residual urine not more than 100 ml. Treatment was conducted within 2 months, with compulsory monitoring of patient every month.

In the paper we present a result of study of antibiotics (vancomycin, cefotaxime, amicacin, meropenem, ciprofloxacin) effect on cytokine production by mononuclear fraction of periferal blood cells in normal condition and in chronic renal failure.

A lot of attention has been paid to evaluation of host immune system status for prognosis of acute pyelonephritis and system inflammatory response. It is known that strength and quality of the host immune response depend on balance between apoptosis and cell proliferation processes.

The main aim of the work described in this article is efficiency and safety estimation of Rezorba (zoledronic acid) in prostate cancer patients with bone metastasies (MTS). This drug suppresses osteoclast activity, does not render undesirable influence on formation, mineralization and mechanical properties of bone tissue, possesses the direct antineoplastic activity, which is efficient in metastatic disease.

A bladder cancer (BC) – oncologic disease with wide range of risk factors. A trigger of the most of oncological diseases is an individual genetic predisposition provoked by various environmental factors, first of all of chemical nature. Various cancer causing agents that are collectively known as xenobiotics refer to the risk factors for BC. Necessary condition for manifestation of xenobiotics action is a hypersusceptibility that appears in the presence of certain genetic background.
