In past radical nephrectomy was a method of choice in treatment of renal tumors, but recent successes clearly demonstrated advantages of renal-preserving surgical tactics in cases of tumor small size. Partial nephrectomy in patients with renal tumors, both open and laparoscopic, received wide recognition as an alternative to radical nephrectomy. In case of expansion of indications for partial nephrectomy secure methods of tumor resection and prevention of postoperative complications should be developed.

At present time usage of radiopaque contrast agents (RCA) is indispensable part of diagnostic search in urological and oncourological patients. During it's evolution RCA's physicochemical features and terms of production improved. RCA for urographic and angiographic investigations must answer the requirements of optimal physicochemical features and biological characteristics: low plasma proteinbinding, high filtration rate, good tolerance. Visualization quality depends on the amount of injected RCA and the number of iodine atoms in the contrast agent molecule.

Objective: To study morphological particularities of urinary bladder mucosa in females with acute phase of cystitis, to conduct morphometrical and statistical analysis of data received, to observe inflammatory changes of bladder mucosa in dynamics depending on treatment regimen. Materials: 62 females' with chronic cystitis in acute phase bladder mucosa was biopsied during cystoscopy on first and 10th day. Bladder wall tissue samples received during cystoscopy were exposed to morphometric and statistic analysis. All patients were randomly divided into 3 groups.

Objective: comparative assessment of type 5 phosphodiesterase inhibitors (Vardenafil) and M-cholinolytic (Solifenacin) efficiency in treatment of patients with hyperactive bladder. Materials and methods: 26 males (group 1) with urodynamically confirmed hyperactive bladder and erectile dysfunction complaints took 10 mg of vardenafil twice a day for 8 weeks. 26 males in control group took 5 mg of solifenacin a day for 8 weeks. Treatment efficiency was evaluated due to visual analog scale, I-PSS score, Homma scale, urinary diary and, in first group, urodynamic assessments.

Currently female micturition disorders problem is one of the most actual and complicated one in urology. One of the most common disorders is stress incontinence, which frequency rates up to 70% in women after 50 years. According to publications every fifth woman in any period of her life suffers from incontinence with negative influence on her quality of life. Biofeedback efficiency study in patients with mild and moderate stress incontinence was conducted in scientific research institute of urology of Moscow.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the most common diseases of older men. But the pathogenesis of the relationship of erectile dysfunction and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in this patients while not fully understood. The article presents different pathophysiological theory, confirming this relationship. Drug therapy in patients with BPH and erectile dysfunction is mostly preferred option.

Introduction. Extensive studies of different kinds of sperm pathologies medication management were conducted in recent two decades. It was shown that sperm cell motility reduction might be caused by lipid peroxidation activation in cells. Objective. To determine the influence of medications with proved antioxidant activity on ejaculate fertile indications in males with idiopathic infertility. Materials and methods. 39 patients' with idiopathic infertility ejaculate was surveyed. Following medications were used in our research: ovodorin, mexidol, semax.

This article is dedicated to the history of Russian andrology, that appeared as a part of urology. Separation of urology from clinical surgery took place in the early fifties of 19th century and was connected with a name of medical surgery academy professor P.P. Zabolovskij– Desjatovskij. This article emphasizes that formation of urology as an independent discipline led to organization of first Russian urological department under the Moscow university in 1866.

At present time true reasons of calculi formation in kidneys and salivary glands are unknown. Pathogenic calculi formation in these organs could be consequences for example of mineral and ferment metabolism failures or influence of different external factors. The purpose of this investigation: to study of the frequency and combinations of urolithiasis and sialic lithiasis and compare of the mineral composition of sialic and renal calculi. 84 patients with sialic lithiasis and 50 patients with urolithiasis were examined.
