Operative treatment in patients with large and staghorn urinary stones of anatomically or functional solitary kidney is one of the complicated problems in urology. Literature review shows that extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL) as monotherapy has low efficacy in patients with this form of urolithiasis and its role could be described as amplification of other modalities, for example, in the combination treatment with transurethral and percutaneous manipulations.

Introduction: BPH –gender, social disease, as it accounts more than 40% of all diseases of men older 50 years. Analyzing the effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment of BPH in the Russian Federation at the example of the Voronezh region in 2009, it revealed that 40.9% of patients with BPH treated at the hospital were delivered by ambulance for emergency indication, underlining the shortages of prophylaxis and low detectability of diseases.

In this study we have investigated 54 patients with urolithiasis, 21 female and 33 male patients with the age range of 21-74 year. Sixteen women had calcium-oxalate stones, five – mixed stones with calcium-phosphate component – carbonapathite. Twenty five male patients had calcium-oxalate stones, eight – mixed with the presence of carbonapathite.

Introduction. A modern state of the health care system in Russia could be characterized not only through the limitation of the financing, but also through the ineffective usage of the money. This problem was underlined in the message of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin. He had precisely described the strategic directions of the health care reforming via the modernization. In the course of modernization in Voronezh region a program of the standardized effective urologic aid “Urology” was developed and integrated.

Clinico-economical analysis was performed for 4 different treatment methods of the prostate cancer. The operations performed were: open radical retropubic prostatectomy in 215 patients, brachytherapy (I-125) in 213 patients, high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in 45 patients, laparoscopic (extraperitoneoscopic) radical prostatectomy in 40 patients. The treatment costs were direct and indirect.

Radical prostatectomy (RPE) and brachytherapy (BT) belong to main options of prostate cancer (CaP) treatment. Up to present time there are no researches dedicated to comparative analysis of these methods. Discovering the advantages of one of these methods may help to provide their efficiency analysis.

Alternative treatment options can be evaluated by clinical and economic analysis that implicates correlation of costs and efficiency. To collect data about cost-effectiveness of different options of surgical prostate cancer management international publications review was made. This review demonstrated that represented data on clinic and economic analysis of prostate cancer surgical options was insufficient. Observed publications were dedicated generally to evaluation of certain option cost, that could be defined only as a supportive method of clinical an economic analysis.
