Introduction. Severe acute pyelonephritis (SAP) is frequently complicated by systemic infection and carries a considerable risk of in-hospital death. Robust prognostic markers and early risk stratification tools are urgently needed.

Objective. To identify factors associated with in-hospital mortality in SAP, estimate survival using Kaplan–Meier analysis, and develop an out-come-prediction model based on neural-network logistic analysis.

In this article we report on the possibilities of the nutritive support optimization in early postoperative period in patients after extended reconstructive-plastic operations in urology by means of the estimation of biochemical parameters of blood and microcirculation state using laser Doppler flowmetry.

Aim of the study: to estimate clinical efficacy of the nutritive support with early introduction of the lipids in patients with bladder cancer after radical cystectomy with one-step ileocystoplasty.

Article is dedicated to analysis of results of open multicentre research of using doxazosin in combination with Indigal in patients with BPH. Research is held in 8 clinical centre, with 100 patients participating. The subjects for study were efficiency and safety of oral taking of doxazosin in combination with Indigal during a period of six months, long-term follow up was 6 months. Patients took two capsules of Indigal twice a day and doxazosin 2–8 mg, starting with 2 mg with following dose titration. Four visits to doctor were planned.

A bladder cancer (BC) – oncologic disease with wide range of risk factors. A trigger of the most of oncological diseases is an individual genetic predisposition provoked by various environmental factors, first of all of chemical nature. Various cancer causing agents that are collectively known as xenobiotics refer to the risk factors for BC. Necessary condition for manifestation of xenobiotics action is a hypersusceptibility that appears in the presence of certain genetic background.
