Phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (iPDE-5) are the first line medications for erectile dysfunction in men. Given that all of them are highly selective, nevertheless they can have effects on the other isoforms of phosphodiesterase (including type 11), which are located in different tissues. Some experimental works show that influence on PDE-11 could affect spermatogenesis. Nevertheless, there is no common opinion whether if fertility affected or not and how.

Inhibitors of phosphodiesterase type 5 are the first line in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Recent publications indicate ambiguous influence on spermatogenesis – from stimulating up to contraceptive. In spite of high selectivity all inhibitors of type 5 phosphodiesterase effect on other PDE isoferments, located in different tissues, including PDE type 11. In experiments the influence of that particular isoferment in spermatogenesis regulation was proved.

Relevance. In males with sexual dis­orders hyperprolactinemia is deter­mined in 0,4-11% of cases, and in some studies achieves 20%, due to which assessment of the prolactin level in blood is an important part of erectile dysfunction diagnostics. Objective. To study frequency of oc­currence and general clinical presen­tation of hyperprolactinemia in pa­tients with erectile dysfunction (ED). Materials and methods. We have ex­amined a big group of patients with ED of different etiology. Hyperpro­lactinemia was detected in 69 (9%) patients of general group.

Current International statistical classification of diseases and related health problems, 10th edition (ICD- 10), is a legislative document that provides integration and comparability of national healthcare data, epidemiological situation and healthcare facilities' activity. Unfortunately the given classification suffers from inaccuracies in clinical sections structural appearance either in coding of numerous diseases. There is an intricacy in different polygenic diseases and syndromes placement in various sections.

This article is dedicated to the history of Russian andrology, that appeared as a part of urology. Separation of urology from clinical surgery took place in the early fifties of 19th century and was connected with a name of medical surgery academy professor P.P. Zabolovskij– Desjatovskij. This article emphasizes that formation of urology as an independent discipline led to organization of first Russian urological department under the Moscow university in 1866.

A problem of early detection of prostate cancer (PC) is still actual and practically valuable. There are a number of programs for PC screening in some regions of the Russia (Moscow region, Sverdlovskaya region). Regional target program «Men’s Health» has been approved by the regional authorities in Kaluzhskaya region. For standardization of order and extent of the patient examination an algorithm was developed, considering the lack of outpatient urologists in medical facilities and equipment deficiency in city hospitals and outpatient clinics.
