Ignashin Nikolai Semenovich graduated from the 1st Moscow Medical Insttute n.a. I.M. Sechenov in 1976 Then, having been trained in residency in the period 1978-1980, he worked as a junior researcher at the Laboratory of the Central Research Insttute of the 2nd MOLGMI. Since 1980 he has been working at the Research Insttute of Urology and Interventonal Radiology. Now he leads the ultrasound diagnostc laboratory.

In 1990 N.S. Ignashin defended his doctoral thesis on the next problem: "Invasive ultrasound interventons in the diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases".

The main areas of his research: ultrasound diagnosis and treatment of urological and andrologic diseases of adults and children, minimally invasive procedures under ultrasound control.

Mr Ignashin is a member of the Scientic Council of the Research Insttute of Urology and Interventonal Radiology n.a. N.A. Lopatkin. He reviews and opposes dissertatons and artcles, trains of specialists in ultrasound diagnosis in urology. Also, he is the author of more than 80 scientic artcles and 4 monographs.
