• Clinical and morphological features of the remodeling of the urinary bladder and its vascular system in the aspect of age-related involution and age-related diseases;
  
• Development of the principles of personalized pharmacotherapy of "senile detrusor" depending on the nature of the existing concomitant pathology;
  
• Pathomorphology and pathophysiology of the evolution of prostate hyperplasia;
  
• Compensatory-adaptive and pathological transformation of the microcirculatory bed in the genesis of diseases of the urinary system;
  
• Stress-induced adaptation disorders in the genesis of urological diseases;
  
• Nephroprotective strategies in urological and oncourological practice;
  
• Urology-andrology of childhood

He is the author of more than 500 scientific papers, including monographs on topical issues of urology, nephrology, pediatric urology and pathological anatomy.  Under the scientific supervision of Shormanov I.S., 6 candidate's and 1 doctoral dissertations were defended
