Human subjects research policy

1079

While presenting results of experimental studies on human subjects, authors, submitting an article to the “Experimental and Clinical Urology”, have to indicate whether the procedures performed comply with the ethical principles prescribed in the Helsinki Declaration (see a separate section under the Editorial Policy).

In case, when a study was carried out with incomplete adherence to the principles of the Declaration or without taking it into account, the authors have to justify the chosen approach to the study. In support of this point, the authors have to ensure that they received the approval of an Ethics Committee of the organization in which the study was conducted.
