Objective: To estimate the effectiveness of fosfomycin in women with recurrent cystitis

Materials and Methods: On the basis of the Department of Urology and Andrology ASMU under the Divisional Clinical Hospital at Barnaul Station of JSC «Russian Railvays». Barnaul for the period from January 2018 to April 2018. we conducted a survey of 40 women with chronic cystitis. All patients, depending on the type of treatment divided into study and control groups of 20 people. Women are the main group received fosfomycin every 7 days for 6 – 9 weeks. Patients of the control group was obtained fosfomycin twice with an interval of 24 hours or 48 hours.

The results were evaluated one month and two months from the date of initiation of therapy. In patients of the main group marked persistent normalization of clinical disease and laboratory parameters endoscopic picture improved.

Conclusion: Fosfomycin has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory effect, promotes the normalization of urodynamics of lower urinary tract, reduces the risk of recurrent relapses of chronic cystitis.
