Introduction. The problem of urolithiasis remains relevant throughout the world. The widespread prevalence of the disease is the reason for the search for new and effective methods of dealing with various complications of surgical treatment in order to improve the efficiency of patient treatment.

Introduction. Upper urinary tract (UUT) obstruction remains a socially significant problem due to its high frequency and serious pathogenetic consequences. Dilation of calyx-pelvic system (CPS) remains one of the pathognomonic manifestations of this condition, which should be immediately corrected. Percutaneous puncture nephrotostomy, internal stenting, and ureteral catheterization are the most commonly used methods for draining the upper urinary tract.

Introduction. The advantages of extraperitoneal laparoscopic access to the prostate are well known - this is an opportunity to avoid the negative effects of pneumoperitoneum and the natural separation of the abdominal cavity from the surgical field. One of the drawbacks is the need to create an artifical cavity. Presence of a cystostomy fistula can significantly complicate the formation of the preperitoneal cavity.

Introduction. Urolithiasis is one of the most common pathologies in modern urology. This disease is registered in 10% of the population and is manifested by an annual increase. Despite all the effectiveness and safety of Ho:YAG, in recent years, the thulium laser has attracted more and more interest. At the moment, in the modern literature there is not enough information about thulium and holmium ureterolithotripsy.

The aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of thulium and holmium ureterolithotripsy.

Introduction. Development and improvement of the diagnostic and treatment methods has significantly influenced the management tactics for a number of urological diseases. The number of performed minimally invasive high-tech procedures for urolithiasis, as well as organ-preserving laparoscopic and robotic interventions for urological cancers has increased. The increase in operative activity led to a more frequent development of postoperative hemorrhagic complications.

Background. The efficacy of percutaneous nephrolithotripsy is currently assessed using computed tomography, whose wide implementation in clinical practice is limited by economic reasons and the risk of high radiation doses during the disease monitoring period. Aim. To demonstrate the high predictive precision of nomograms, which are valuable for assessing the expected efficacy of interventions.

Introduction. The primary task in treating acute blood loss and resolving its complications consists in the correction of the decreased circulating blood volume by means of infusion and transfusion therapy. This task can be achieved provided that the volume of the blood loss has been precisely evaluated.

Aim. To propose a method for assessing the volume of intraoperative blood loss based on determining hemoglobin concentration in the washing medium by a hemichromic method.

Introduction. At present, urolithiasis is one of the complex and relevant medical and social problems. In the Russian Federation, urolithiasis accounts for about 40% of all urological diseases in the structure of the general urological morbidity. In almost half the cases, calculi are localized in the ureter, which is due to the anatomical features of this organ.

Introduction. Timely diagnosis and treatment of kidney purulent abscesses remains an urgent problem of urology. They often develop in patients with severe concomitant diseases that complicate open surgery on the kidney. Minimally invasive percutaneous drainage may be their method of choice. The purpose of this study was to compare the results of their percutaneous or open lumbotomic drainage.
