Severe deformation of the vertebral column combined with the abnormalities of upper urinary tracts development leads to alterations of the topographical anatomy of the kidney. This condition accounts for additional difficulties in surgical access and creates prerequisites for a more thorough selection of the tactics of operative treatment. Today, percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PNL) is regarded as the gold standard in treatment of kidney stone disease.

Materials and methods. We have conducted a prospective study of patients with acute obstructive pyelonephritis, who were admitted to the Spaskukotsky clinical hospital (urological department) of the Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry over the period of2015-2016. According to the method ofupper urinary tract (UUT) drainage, the patients were divided into two groups. The first group comprised patients, who had internal ureteral stenting (n=100); the second group included patients, who underwent percutaneous puncture nephrostomy (n=101).

Aim. A research on the influence of Rowatinex on the condition of urine and stents in patients with urolithiasis.

Introduction. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy is considered as the gold standard in the treatment of patients with full staghorn kidney stones. Its effectiveness varies from 55% to 98%, which depends on many factors, and in particular, on the accessibility to the stones.

The aim of the study was to analyze out own experience of performing PCNL in patients with staghorn kidney stones (stages K3-K4).

Aim: to develop a simple and reliable system for predicting the results of percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PNL). Materials and methods. The analysis of 138 patients, who underwent PNL (standard method) over the period of 2011-2015, was performed. Low-dose non-contrast multispiral computed tomography (MSCT) was performed in all patients during the post-operative stage, 24 hours a?er PNL.?e presence ofresidual concrements(≤ 4 mm) ortheirtotal absence in kidneyswasregarded as a criterion for effective concrement elimination. Results.

Aim. To investigate the effectiveness of structural synthetic (plasticine) biomodeling in percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PNL) in patients with complex kidney stones.

Urolithiasis is a widespread disease which takes a leading place in the structure of surgical diseases of the urinary system. The basis for the development of urolithiasis are the disturbances of metabolic processes in the body. The average risk to acquire urolithiasis varies in the range of 5-10%. Staghorn nephrolithiasis is a severe form of kidney stones and takes 3 to 30% of all kidney stone cases. Following the technical progress, minimally invasive treatment methods are being actively implemented in urological hospitals.

Introduction: There is a lack of understanding the costeffectiveness of endoscopic management of non-extended ureteral strictures nowadays. The aim of this paper is to work up the algorithm of reducing the expenses for endoscopic management of non-extended ureteral strictures and to choose the optimal endoscopic for that purpose. 

The aim of this study was to evaluate the complications of the laparoscopic pyeloplasty (LP) using the classification of the Clzvien. 

We have performed the retrospective analysis of medical records of 105 patients, who were operated on using the LP. For further comparison we have divided all patients into three groups with 35 patients in each group, considering the sex and age of the patients, severity of hydronephrosis, presence of the lower pole vessels and collecting system stones. 

Nowadays percutaneous nephrolitothripsy (PCNL) is a standard therapeutic modality for large and staghorn kidney stones. Given that nephrostomy drainages could be a cause for pain and substantial discomfort, tubeless PCNL is considered to be a good alternative approach. The aim of our study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of hemostatic matrix in patients with tubeless PCNL.
