Introduction. Some studies have shown that urolithiasis is much more common in the group of patients who underwent radical cystectomy (RC) with intestinal plastic bladder than the average for the population.

Introduction. The article discusses the results of studies and meta-analyses that have studied the risks of coronary heart disease (CHD), myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke in patients with urinary stone disease (USD).

The purpose of this review is to critically analyze the available studies on the association of USD with CHD and stroke, as well as to evaluate USD among other cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors and to assess the role of USD metaphylaxis in reducing this risk.

Introduction. Encrusted pyelitis is a rare clinical form of urolithiasis. It represents a formation of stones on the mucosa of collecting system because of violation of epithelial function. Encrusted pyelitis characterized by formation of multiple planar stones intimately soldered to the epithelial lining. Generally, accepted methods of surgical removal of stones is not effective in such case and different approach is required.

Introduction. Low adherence treatment is one of the reasons for the failure of the treatment of chronic diseases, including urolithiasis. The main efforts to increase patients' adherence to treatment should be aimed at acquiring knowledge about possible complications and prognosis of the course of the disease, as well as about the main methods of diagnosis and treatment. However, there is currently no tool to comprehensively assess the initial level of knowledge in these matters and thereby determine the level of adherence to the treatment of urolithiasis.

Introduction. In recent years, there has been a persistent trend towards an increase in the incidence of urolithiasis. The treatment of large and complex kidney stones greatest difficulty is one of the challenges. Such stones, as well as surgical methods of their removal, can have an adverse effect on the functional state of the kidneys, which confers a significant medical, social and economic problem.

Introduction. Urolithiasis is one of the most common urological diseases. Up to 50% of patients who have suffered from the first episode of nephrolithiasis will have the second episode within 10 years, so the question of metaphylaxis of this disease is relevant, taking into account the genetic predisposition of a particular patient.

Introduction. The role of the organic matrix in urinary stones genesis in urolithiasis patients is still unclear. The presence of a large amount of protein in the urinary stones matrix suggests the participation of the protein matrix in lithogenesis. Research of the amino acids spectrum in urine is of great interest so far as amino acids are the part of the matrix proteins of the urinary stone.

Introduction. TUrolithiasis is a widespread disease. In 2019 year 889,891 cases of this disease detected in Russia, and the increase in morbidity since 2005 was 35.5%. The share of urolithiasis accounts for up to 50-60% of patients in urological hospitals, often hospitalized for emergency indications. At the same time, there are no specialized questionnaires aimed at identifying risk factors for urolithiasis.

The purpose of the work: to study the use of questionnaires for the timely detection of urinary tract stones.

Introduction. Presence of calculus in an enlarged isolated renal calyx requires endoscopic or percutaneous correction to remove the calculus and eliminate the cause of local urodynamic disorders. If the calyx is significantly enlarged or the parenchyma over the enlarged calyx is atrophied, the possibilities of endoscopic or percutaneous surgery may not be enough. In such a situation, laparoscopic resection of the kidney segment can be an effective method of correction.

Introduction. Abdominal obesity has been considered an important risk factor for the development of urolithiasis in recent years. In this paper, we investigated the influence of the degree of obesity in patients with urolithiasis on metabolic parameters and the frequency of detection of urinary stones of various chemical compositions.
