Russian version of questionnaires for life quality assessment in patients with pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence

Objectification of the indications for the operative treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence and assessment of treatment efficacy are possible with the use of specific questionnaires. Nowadays in Russia no questionnaires exist for this patient group.

The aim of this study wasthe validation of the Russian versions of the questionnaires for quality of life assessment in patients with pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.

Out study showed that the most widely used questionnaires for pelvic organ dysfunction are PFDI-20, PFIQ-7, for sexual dysfunction – PISQ-12, for stress urinary incontinence – ICIQ-SF, which proved to be reliable (alpha-Cronbach for all points more than 0.7) and valid (Spearman r showed significant correlation between questionnaire result and severity of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence) and could be used for life quality assessment in these patients and also in patients, already operated on due to pelvic organ prolapse orstress urinary incontinence for subjective assessment of surgical treatment efficacy.
