Combined physical and enzymatic therapy for chronic prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome

668

Introduction. Chronic prostatitis (CP) and chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) are the most prevalent urological disorders, affecting up to 14% of men and significantly reducing quality of life. The limited effectiveness of conventional treatment regimens increases interest in physiotherapeutic approaches, including extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT), and in the use of enzymatic preparations.

Ureteral stents encrustation: pathogenesis, diagnostics, prevention

1890

Introduction. The ureteral stent placement is one of the most common medical procedures in urology. Some patients (for example, after reconstructive surgeries on the upper urinary tract or ones with obstructive uropathy due to pathological processes in the pelvis or retroperitoneal space) require ureteral stents for a long time, which increases the risk of their encrustation. The purpose of this review is to systematize publications on the problem of stent encrustation and to discover for new research directions in this field.

Analysis of disorders of pituitary-gonadal regulation in patients with testicular neoplasms

4282

Introduction. The hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis (HPG) is the most important part of the hormonal system that controls testicular function in men. It is known that testicular neoplasms (TN) can disrupt the regulation of HPG due to the occurrence of hormonal imbalance. However, changes in HPG in patients with TN have been little studied, especially before the start of treatment.

Aim: to assess the degree of hormonal disorders affecting HPG in men with TN before treatment.

The possibilities of robotic technologies in the treatment of patients with muscularinvasive bladder cancer: robot-assisted cystectomy

11451

Introduction. The standardized incidence of bladder cancer (ВС) is 6,41 per 100,000 populations, and there is an upward trend. In 20-30% of patients, muscle-invasive BC (MIBC) is detected at the initial diagnosis. In 20% of patients with non-muscularly invasive BC (NMIBC), despite the treatment, muscle invasion is later detected. Radical cystectomy (RC) is considered to be the main method of treating MIBC.

The results the of the comparative study of biofeedback with test electrostimulation of the pelvic floor muscles as monotherapy and in combinationwith extra-corporeal magnetic stimulation of the pelvic floor muscles with functional infravesical obstruction in women

Introduction. The functional bladder outlet obstruction (fBOO) in women is one of the urgent and dif-ficult tasks of functional urology. As a conservative treatment, pelvic floor muscle training is widely used, including using the method of biofeedback (BFB).

Rehabilitation value of correction of urinary incontinence developed after radical prostatectomy by urethrosuspension with adjustable sling

8686

Introduction. Prostate cancer(PC)is among the most frequent malignant neoplasms. Radical prostatectomy (RP) is a popular method for treating patients with localized prostate cancer. Urinary incontinence is the most common complication after RP, aswell as erectile dysfunction, which substantially decreases patients’ quality of life

Prognostic factors of survival rate in patients with prostate cancer

21329

Introduction. Despite the disappointing statistics of morbidity and mortality rates, prostate cancer is a slow growing tumor and does not always lead to death. Thus, it is of paramountimportance for oncologiststo decidewho should receive aggressive treatment ofrapidly progressing prostate cancer and who should undergo gentle treatment orjust monitoring due to the slowgrowing form of tumor, which isless dangerousfor one’slife.

Diagnostic capabilities of penile scintigraphy in patients with vasculogenic erectile dysfunction

9750

Introdiction. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a constant or periodic inability of maintaining or achieving erection, sufficient enough for having sexual intercourse. Organic ED usually arises due to vascular disorders. Endothelial dysfunction has considerable significance in the development of ED. The impairment of blood flow, as well atherosclerosis of coronary arteries, may trigger ED. Vas-culogenic ED usually accounts for the necessity of complex, extended diagnostics with the use of not only Doppler ultrasound, but maybe other methods of radiodiagnostics.

Modern methods of instrumental diagnostics of vasculogenic erectile dysfunction

22032

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a constant or temporary inability to achieve or maintain erection sufficient enough to perform sexual intercourse. The problem of diagnostics and treatment of ED has not only medical but also social importance.

The risk of the development of ED increases with age due to serious associated diseases; in particular, due to arterial hypertension, heart diseases and diabetes mellitus. Most causes of ED are considered to be organic, which are subdivided into neurogenic, hormonal, vasculogenic, iatrogenic and mixed.
