Introduction: the aim of our study was to obtain relevant characterization of patients with stones in the bladder and also to evaluate the results of endoscopic treatment in the conditions of a modern urological clinic.

Materials and methods: the prospective study included data of 79 patients, who underwent endoscopic removal of stones from the bladder in urological departments of the university hospital of the Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry in 2016.

Materials and methods. We have conducted a prospective study of patients with acute obstructive pyelonephritis, who were admitted to the Spaskukotsky clinical hospital (urological department) of the Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry over the period of2015-2016. According to the method ofupper urinary tract (UUT) drainage, the patients were divided into two groups. The first group comprised patients, who had internal ureteral stenting (n=100); the second group included patients, who underwent percutaneous puncture nephrostomy (n=101).

The guidelines for treatment of prostate cancer using the low-dosage permanent tissue radiation therapy (brachytherapy) approved during the expert meeting of the Russian Brachy-therapeutic Society on 4th October 2014 are presented in this article. The references are given to the guidelines for the technology of prostate brachytherapy from years 2006, 2009 and 2010. The questions of the diagnostics and patient selection for brachytherapy are discussed, indications and contraindications are defined for the brachytherapy.

Focal treatment of prostate cancer is possible only in case of precise localization of tumor inside prostate gland. Risk stratification and tumor mapping are the necessary conditions for the selection of candidates for focal cryoablation. As far as existing methods of visualization do not allow to authentically judge about localization and spread of tumor, the only method of prostate cancer mapping is transperineal templated biopsy, which in combination with pelvis MRI gives us the most accurate tumor staging.
