Permixon: place of drug in pathogenetic therapy of BPH

20384

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common disease of the ageing male population significantly affects quality of life by causing lower urinary tract symptoms. Several risk factors for the development of BPH have been identified, including age, genetics, hormones, growth factors, inflammation, and lifestyle factors. Prediction of development of erectile dysfunction and cardiovascular diseases based on the risk factors profile

12977

Introduction. Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death worldwide. According to literature, CVDs have a very similar profile of risk factors with such a common reproductive disorder as erectile dysfunction (ED). At the same time, there are different opinions about the prevalence of ED and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in the Russian population and their relationship to physical illnesses

Materials and methods. We present data from evaluation of 1261 men aged 40-65 years living in the Voronezh and Kaluga regions.

Correcitve corporoplasty with one-stage phalloendoprosthetics (clinical case)

Peyronie's disease (also known as fibroplastic or plastic penile induction) is one of rare diseases, according to some sources its prevalence is 23% in the male population. Peyronie's disease is the main organic cause of curvature and, as a consequence, shortening of the penis. To date, many methods for treating Peyronie's disease have been suggested, and there is no clear-cut opinion on the choice of operational tactics.

Endothelial function in patients with chronic bacterial prostatitis

7469

Materials and methods: 120 patients with chronic bacterial prostatitis under clinical and laboratory exacerbation (study group) and 30 clinically healthy men (control group) were examined. The mean age in the study group was 39.6 ± 0.96 years, in the control group 36.8 ± 0.95 years. In all patients, the endothelial function markers were determined: metabolites of NO, endothelin I, free L-arginine, homocysteine, a test with reactive hyperemia was performed.

The necessity of a complex approach to examination and treatment of patients with chronic abacterial prostatitis

6493

Introduction: The emergence of chronic prostatitis (CP) is often due to incorrect determination of the category of the disease. It is considered that in 90% of cases, CP has abacterial aetiology, which is, however, debatable.

Aim: To determine the structure of chronic abacterial prostatitis and the effectiveness of complex therapy in patients with this disease.

Predictive value of DNA fragmentation index in sperm cells for the success of assisted reproductive techniques. Empirical antioxidant therapy for the correction of DNA fragmentation in the setting of pathological oxidative stress of the ejaculate

8301

Introduction: The level of sperm DNA integrity is a useful predictor of blastocyst quality and pregnancy rate. The high level of oxidative stress reaction (ROS) may cause sperm DNA damage. Antioxidant therapy might improve sperm quality and ART outcomes. The literature evidence of efficacy of antioxidant therapy in the correction of sperm DNA damage and high level of semen ROS in preparation before ART cycles after failure cases is limited. It was the aim of our study.
