Covered exstrophy of the bladder, approaches to treatment

2334

Introduction. Classic bladder exstrophy is a rare anomaly, occurring in a ratio of 1:30000 to 1:50000 newborns. However, various variants of the exstrophy-epispadias complex are 10 times less common. Covered bladder exstrophy is a rare variant of classic exstrophy. Patients with the covered variant of exstrophy can be considered as classic exstrophy with all the accompanying defects of this anomaly, but with a bladder that is closed and covered only by a thin, often translucent skin membrane without muscles or a fascial layer.

Introduction. Testicular torsion (TT) is the most common emergency urologic pathology of children. Detorsion within 4-8 hours is crucial to prevent irreversible changes in testicular tissue. Ultrasound investigation plays a major role in the diagnosis of testicular torsion, but its performance is prolonging the diagnostic period and, consequently, the time of testicular ischemia.

Comparative effectiveness of adjustable and non-adjustable synthetic slings in female stress urinary incontinence

2245

Introduction. Stress incontinence is the most common type of urinary incontinence in women, the gold standard for surgical treatment of which is the installation of synthetic mesh endoprostheses. However, the failure rate reaches 10-15% and urinary incontinence or obstructive uropathy recurs. In this regard, it is promising to install adjustable slings, which allows you to change the degree of tension of the loop in the early postoperative period, preventing the development of complications.

Comparative evaluation of the use of water-filled and air-charged catheters during urodynamic studies in women with stress urinary incontinence

1627

Introduction. Urodynamic studies play an important role in urological and gynecological clinical practice. Specialized catheters used to measure pressures inside and outside the bladder play an important role in this process. International Continence Society (ICS) standards recommend the use of water-filled catheters with external transducers for complex urodynamic studies, which ensures standardization and comparability of results between different clinicsand patients.

Innovative urethral mirror in surgical treatment of women with chronic skineitis

2124

Introduction. Currently, when conservative therapy for chronic inflammation of the paraurethral glands in women is ineffective, the only surgical treatment is their electroresection (Reeser’s operation). However, despite the high overall effectiveness of this technique, a significant percentage of repeated interventions is noted due to the infected Skene's gland ducts missed (undisclosed) during the first intervention. The reason for this problem is their insufficient visualization due to the lack of a special urethral retractor.
