Premature ejaculation (PE) is one of the frequent sexual disorders affecting approximately 31% of male population. The Russian version of the “Uzbek Index of Premature Ejaculation” (UIPE) was adapted for the self-assessment by the patients, who speak only Uzbek.

Objective. To validate the UIPE against the original, Russian, version of the questionnaire.

Background. Despite of recent advances in the development of endoscopic treatment for staghorn nephrolithiasis, stone-free rates after percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PNL), still remaining lower comparing to other types of renal stones. Multiple access approach of percutaneous surgery for renal stones thus may be another cost-effective procedure.

Objective. A rational division of the upper urinary tract stones by their complexity from position of endoscopic surgery. Materials & methods. We retrospectively reviewed medical records of 1027 patients, with stones located in upper urinary tract (597 males – 58.1% and 430 females – 41.9%), with mean age 38,9 ± 15,6 (from 4 to 84) years. The age of 46 (4,5%) patients ranged from 4 to 15 years. The mean stone size was 30,3 ± 0,6 (3 to 150) mm. All endoscopic interventions were performed by three experienced surgeons.

Aim: Development of Russian and Uzbek versions of IPSS, estimation of their validity and reliability in patients from Uzbekistan and their introduction into general medical practice.

Methods: Validity and reliability were investigated in patients with or without (control group) lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). The “test-retest” method was used for reliability estimation, while alpha of Cronbach was used for assessment of internal consistency.

Objective. Systematization of complications of endoscopic surgery for nephrolithiasis due to improved Clavien-Dindo classification.

Materials and methods. Retrospectively reviewed the records of 1027 patients with upper urinary tract stones. Endoscopic procedures were performed by the standard technique, percutaneous intervention with the patient on his abdomen in 948 cases. In 79 patients stones were removed transurethrally. Pneumatic lithotripsy was perfromed.

The article is dedicated to the study of the prevalence of the most significant urologial diseases in the Aral Sea region in primary health care. The study was performed in the Aral Sea region, which is a territory of ecological disaster, and paricular attention should be payed to its population in the development of curative and prophylactic measures.

The paper is dedicated to methods of determination of sample size for population incidence study. An analysis of incidence including urological incidence is necessary condition for achievement of high level population health, for intensive health care service development, for control of medical and preventive treatment facility function and management thereof. Determination of true prevalence rate of urological diseases needs for evaluation of so called hidden urological prevalence.
