Introduction. Published global data show that the actual clinical practice in European countries differs on many issues from the recommendations approved in these countries for the management of patients with varicocele. No similar studies have been conducted in Russia.

Purpose. To evaluate the clinical practice of urologists in the Russian Federation in the treatment of patients with varicocele under 18 years of age.

Introduction. The bladder diary (BD) remains the «gold standard» for the objective assessment of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), despite the development of high-tech diagnostic methods. Implementing standardized BD protocols helps reduce unnecessary invasive procedures and improves the accuracy of pharmacotherapy. This article describes the role of the terpens in the treatment and metaphylaxis of urolithiasis. The terpens improve derivation of the urinary stone and protect the kidneys. The Renotinex® is new medical product. It includes six terpens and alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E). Vitamin E reduces blood a calcium level moderately. Thus Renotinex® can be recommended for long-term metaphylaxis phosphate, uric acid, and especially calcium-oxalate nephrolithiasis.

Introduction. Research Institute of Urology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, directed by Acad. of RAMS, Professor Lopatkin N.A., placed a greater focus on the epidemiology of urological diseases, including urolithiasis, in the USSR and the Russian Federation. Currently, the Institute is monitoring urological morbidity, disability and mortality.

Nowadays, there are about 12 millions of men with prostatic hyperplasia; in terms of its incidence in the urological practice, this disease has the second place (23%), the most prevalent are the urinary tract diseases(32%).Ablooming market of healthcare services aimed at treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is now becoming available in Russia and worldwide.

The number of comprehensive comparative studies on different methods of adenoma treatment from the perspective of clinical and economical effectiveness is growing from 90s.
